CTDPA
CTDPA (Connecticut Data Privacy Act) will considerably improve the lives of Connecticut citizens; it’ll give them stronger data rights and even more protection.
What is the Connecticut Data Privacy Act?
The Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA) will take effect on July 1, 2023.
CTDPA offers similar rights to Virginia’s law (VCPDA), meaning that businesses will have to provide a way to enable users in Connecticut to opt out of targeted advertising. The act protects residents who are acting in an individual/household context. It doesn’t protect those who are acting in an employment context.
