What does this look like for the end user?
From a user point of view, this could look like:
- A user visits the website on a laptop (Device A) and opts out of cookies. They then sign up to a newsletter, becoming ‘known’.
- The same user visits the same website on a mobile (Device B). They opt in to accept cookies and then log in.
- Now the user is known on both devices, their original cookie consent for Device A can automatically be updated and honored on Device B.
